Beijing Zhenchong Machinery joins hands with Jiangsu Weikai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. to support the construction of Xiamen Xiang'an Airport
[Overview] Since June 2023, Jiangsu Weikai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. has used 12 sets of pore-filling vibratory equipment from Beijing Vibratory Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. simultaneously in the vibratory compaction construction of Lot 1, land formation and foundation treatment, in the Dazhaodeng land reclamation project.
Since June 2023, Jiangsu Weikai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. has used 12 sets of vibratory compaction equipment from Beijing Vibratory Compaction Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. simultaneously in the land formation and foundation treatment section 1 of the Daxiao Deng land reclamation project in Xiamen.
Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport is located at the southeastern end of Daxiao Deng Island in Dading Street, Xiang'an District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China. It is approximately 22 kilometers west of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and approximately 25 kilometers southwest of the city center of Xiamen Island. It is a 4F-level international hub airport in the West Strait region and a hub airport for the Maritime Silk Road.
This project is located in Section 1 of the land formation and foundation treatment project within the Daxiao Deng land reclamation project at Xiang'an Airport. The main construction contents of the project include: land formation, embankment (barrier) engineering, foundation treatment, and other construction contents; the main construction content is vibratory compaction, full tamping, and vibratory rolling foundation treatment for the unloaded regional foundation.
In the heat of summer, on the project site filled with yellow sand, Jiangsu Weikai workers are busy carrying out various foundation treatment construction works. Beijing Vibratory Compaction Engineering Machinery has provided 12 sets of vibratory compaction equipment for this project, which is the main force for the vibratory compaction construction. Even under harsh conditions such as 40-degree Celsius high temperatures and complex geological formations, the equipment from Beijing Vibratory Compaction Engineering Machinery still guarantees the project progress with its strong adaptability and excellent performance.
On this land of rapid development in Xiang'an Daxiao Deng, tower cranes stand tall, traffic flows constantly, and the sounds of metal welding, whistles, and foundation impact compaction interweave, creating a ‘charge’ for the project's construction efforts.
The Xiang'an Airport project is scheduled to be operational in 2026. Upon completion, it will be able to handle 45 million passengers, 750,000 tons of cargo and mail, and 380,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings annually. It will become an important international airport, a regional hub airport, and a gateway for cross-strait exchanges in China, providing important support for Xiamen's development as a strategic fulcrum in the core area of the Maritime Silk Road.
