The foundation treatment project of the Daduhe Hard Liangbao Hydropower Station's headworks

[Overview] The CI-2 section of the foundation treatment construction for the Daduhe Hard Liangbao Hydropower Station project is located on the Daduhe River in Lengqi Town, Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the 14th power station in the newly planned 28-level scheme for the Daduhe River in Sichuan Province, upstream of the Luding Hydropower Station, and downstream it connects with the Dagangshan Hydropower Station.

The headworks adopts a layout of "lateral water intake and forward sand flushing discharge," consisting of water retaining structures, water discharge and sand flushing structures, intake, power generation structures, fish passage structures, and water conveyance structures.

The headworks vibratory stone column project mainly involves foundation treatment for the concrete dam. The right bank面板堆石坝 (panel rockfill dam) uses a combined foundation treatment scheme of vibratory stone columns and weighting. Vibratory stone columns are constructed in the downstream sand layer under the panel rockfill dam foundation, arranged in a square pattern. Vibratory stone columns are also used for treatment near the toe board, connecting plates, and cutoff wall.

The bearing capacity of the vibratory stone column piles is no less than 850 kPa, and the modulus of deformation is no less than 50 MPa; the content of crushed stone with a particle size less than 5 mm shall not exceed 10%, the mud content shall not exceed 5%, and the saturated compressive strength shall be greater than 80 MPa.

In this project's construction operations, all vibratory equipment used is produced by Beijing Vibratory Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd.
