About Vibratory Hammer

2021-03-09

Vibratory hammer is a special tool used in vibratory compaction construction. The working principle is that the submersible motor drives the eccentric block inside the vibrator through a coupling to generate centrifugal force, making the entire vibratory hammer generate horizontal vibration. Vibratory hammers can be used in the construction of filling vibratory piles and compaction vibratory piles. It is suitable for the reinforcement of foundations such as gravelly soil, sandy soil, silty soil, clay, artificial fill, and collapsible soil, as well as the densification and liquefaction resistance treatment of various liquefiable soils. After vibratory treatment, the stratum can withstand a certain dynamic load, which can improve the bearing capacity of the foundation, reduce settlement, increase the stability of the foundation, and improve the liquefaction resistance capacity. Technological Development Vibratory hammers originated in Germany. A large number of engineering practices have proved that vibratory compaction technology is the preferred scheme for seismic reinforcement of soft foundations. After the Tangshan earthquake in 1976, China paid great attention to the research on seismic reinforcement of building foundations. The former Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power entrusted the Beijing Survey and Design Institute to establish a vibratory compaction research group, which independently developed a 30KW vibratory hammer. It was successfully applied to the seismic reinforcement project of the fine sand dam foundation of the GuanTing Reservoir in Beijing. In 1982, a 75KW high-power vibratory hammer was developed, which greatly improved the application range of vibratory compaction technology. From 1976 to 1985, the vibratory compaction research and experimental group successively completed dozens of vibratory compaction stone column projects, including the引滦工程, the Lagdo Reservoir in the Republic of Cameroon, and the Jilin QianGuo Refinery. Power Model At present, Beijing Vibratory Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. has accumulated 40 years of experience in the design, construction, improvement, and development of vibratory hammers in China, forming a series of domestic electric vibratory hammers with multiple models targeting different strata. According to the outer diameter, they are divided into 325, 377, and 426 series. The power has developed from 30KW to 260KW.

Supporting the key infrastructure treatment project for the Hongshui River irrigation project in Dabieshan Revolutionary Old Area, Henan Province

2021-03-03

The Huaihe River Water Supply and Irrigation Project in Dabie Mountain Revolutionary Old Area of Henan Province is a major project of the 13th Five-Year Plan and one of the first ten water conservancy projects implemented by Henan Province under its "Four Water Management" initiative. The project mainly includes three parts: Xixian hub project, urban water supply project, and irrigation area backbone project. A total of 689 buildings (including 1 Xixian hub, 1 urban water supply pumping station, and 687 irrigation area buildings) will be newly built or rebuilt. The project will form a layout of Huaihe River water supply and irrigation project controlled by the Xixian hub on the main stream of the Huaihe River and supported by urban water supply and irrigation canals, improving the water resources comprehensive utilization system in this revolutionary old area. The hub project's vibro-compaction piles are arranged in the areas of the regulating gate chamber, upstream pavement, downstream stilling basin, upstream bottom protection and anti-scour channel, downstream dyke and anti-scour channel, and left and right abutment wingwalls. The piles are 7-13.5m deep, with spacing of 1.7m and 2.5m; the design requirements are bearing capacity of 180kPa and 125kPa, respectively, relative density of the foundation sand layer ≥0.7, and the number of blows of the heavy-duty dynamic probing not less than 8 blows. The construction equipment for this project is manufactured by Beijing Vibro Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., including 75KW and 130KW vibrators. We are honored to contribute to the construction of our motherland.

The CI-2 section of the Da Du River Ying Liang Bao Hydropower Station project's main works foundation treatment is located on the main stream of the Da Du River in Lengqi Town, Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the 14th power station in the newly planned 28-level scheme for the main stream of the Da Du River in Sichuan Province, upstream of the Luding Hydropower Station, and downstream connected to the Dagangshan Hydropower Station. The main works adopt a "lateral intake, forward sand-flushing flood discharge" layout, consisting of water retaining structures, water discharge and sand-flushing structures, intake, power generation structures, fish passage structures and water conveyance structures. The main works vibro-stone column engineering mainly treats the foundation of the concrete dam. Among them, the right bank panel rockfill dam adopts a foundation treatment scheme combining vibro-stone columns and pressure weighting. Downstream of the panel rockfill dam foundation, pilot hole construction and vibro-stone column treatment are carried out in the sandy soil layer, with a square arrangement. Near the toe plate, connecting plate and cutoff wall, vibro-stone columns are used for treatment. The bearing capacity of the vibro-stone column pile body is not less than 850 kPa, and the modulus of deformation is not less than 50 MPa; the content of gravel with a particle size of less than 5 mm is not more than 10%, the clay content is not more than 5%, and the saturated compressive strength is greater than 80 MPa. In the construction operation of this project, all the vibrators used are developed and produced by Beijing Vibro Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd.

2020-12-02

On November 20, 2020, Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. (Vibroflotation Machinery) held a case exchange meeting on vibroflotation foundation treatment engineering for the Geotechnical Engineering Committee of the Beijing Society of Civil Engineering. At the meeting, experts from the Geotechnical Engineering Committee of the Beijing Society of Civil Engineering and Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Co., Ltd. gave presentations and exchanged views on topics such as the analysis of the technology and application of stone column foundation reinforcement, the design methods for controlling the deformation of foundations, and the development and application of new vibroflotation technologies. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Lu Wei, Director of Human Resources of Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Co., Ltd., and Mr. Yu Hongzhi, Chief Engineer, attended the meeting and gave a comprehensive introduction to the company's basic situation and the development of vibroflotation technology. The exchange meeting was divided into five parts: Part 1 Analysis of Stone Column Foundation Reinforcement Technology and Application, Part 2 Treatment of Liquefied Foundation in Complex Environments, Part 3 Design Methods and Application of Foundation Deformation Control, Part 4 Application of Bottom Discharge Vibroflotation Method and Real-time Data Quality Control of the Whole Process of Vibroflotation Stone Column Construction, Part 5 Introduction to Typical Vibroflotation Engineering Cases. During the exchange, experts from the Geotechnical Engineering Committee of the Beijing Society of Civil Engineering raised questions about the vibroflotation method, such as whether problems encountered in foundation treatment could be solved using the vibroflotation method. Through in-depth explanations by our company's expert group, the attendees gained a better understanding of the vibroflotation method, highly recognized its application in foundation reinforcement, and expressed their expectation for further in-depth discussions, exchanges, and cooperation. The exchange meeting concluded successfully.
